Your First Visit
Your first appointment with our office is generally a consultation. Make sure to show up for your appointment 10 minutes early to fill out any necessary paperwork. Plan to spend 60-90 minutes in our office. To help you fill out these forms properly, remember to bring your insurance card, subscriber information, list of medications you are taking and allergies that you may have. You will receive a comprehensive oral examination and x-rays to help your dentist assess your oral health. Your dentist will look for signs of:
- Tooth decay
- Bone loss
- Oral cancer
- Periodontal (gum) disease
After Your Examination
Your dentist will customize a personal treatment plan for you based on the clinical findings of your initial examination. It will specify the type of cleaning and additional visits you need and include recommendations for home car products. Your dental team will review your treatment plan options and begin treatment after obtaining your consent.
